Position: Marketing Manager

Position Overview:
We believe that Marketing is all about understanding and helping our customers and potential customers’ reach their desired outcomes for their school and district initiatives. With Nearpod, you’ll be working to ensure all teachers and school administrators experience the most value possible along the way. As a Marketing Manager at Nearpod, you are part of a marketing and sales journey from prospecting and activation, to community outreach and lifecycle marketing. The goal is to not to only engage our customers, but to always look for opportunities to expand the relationship and use of Nearpod. We are looking for people that are proactive, passionate about education, and enjoy building lasting experiences. The ideal individual will continuously work to surpass our expectations for this role.
Marketing at Nearpod:
The Nearpod Marketing team is responsible for both demand generation and growth marketing initiatives, including lead generation, creating exceptional content, and driving engagement with our community of users and prospective users.
As a Nearpod Marketing Manager, you will support our district, school, teacher, and community initiatives. You will work to develop target audiences of our substantial email database and inspiring communications. Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Build, monitor, and improve Nearpod’s marketing campaigns by combining audience, content, and automation strategies
  • Launch and test campaigns to convert users with intentional messaging based on behavioral and demographic data
  • Collaborate with Sales to help meet sales targets
  • Develop and manage targeted nurture and automation flows for prospects and customers across the customer lifecycle
  • Optimize existing communications and customer journeys to capture additional opportunities within the funnel
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and content teams to build successful campaigns
  • Manage the health and compliance of the prospect and customer database
  • Drive content creation of emails, landing pages, and articles that will improve campaign performance
  • Manage an email calendar across various Nearpod teams to align with company goals
  • At least three years experience in a marketing role with a deep understanding of email marketing and reporting
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, i.e. Mailchimp, Intercom, Mandrill, Marketo, Pardot, or Eloqua, etc.
  • Working experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (or equivalent)
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to execute successful projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and requests
  • Combined B2B and B2C experience preferred, but not required
  • HTML and Photoshop experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience working at a startup or in education preferred, but not required
