Position: Director of Sales - East  
 
Position Overview:
Nearpod is looking for an experienced Sales Director to manage our growing sales team. This seasoned sales manager will have demonstrated success in managing, coaching, and mentoring high-performance sales representatives; assisting in identifying, qualifying, landing, and growing client accounts; and meeting and exceeding sales quotas. The ideal candidate must be an effective mentor, strategist, and communicator who can take a proactive, consultative approach in developing high performing sales teams. This role will report to the VP of Enterprise Sales and will work closely with operations, product development, and marketing staff. Major duties include managing their region, forecasting their business accurately and coaching their sales reps to overachieve their sales goals.
 
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Hiring education technology sales executives that consistently exceed their quotas
  • Training and coaching the team
  • Manage performance reviews and develop rep improvement plans
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is entered into our CRM (Salesforce)
  • Ensure that sales pipeline objectives are achieved and managed correctly
  • Forecasting accurately
 
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of successful district-level education and/or education technology sales management experience required
  • Track record of scaling successful sales teams
  • Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to exceeding sales objectives
  • Must be experienced using Salesforce.com
  • Excellent phone, written and verbal skills
  • Excellent business development and coaching skills
  • Well organized with efficient time management skills
