Position Overview:
Nearpod is building innovative, digital content that is redefining the way teaching and learning happens in classroom. We are looking for a content producer based in our Aventura, FL headquarters office to define, execute and scale curriculum production for our growing marketplace of K-12 digital, interactive educational content.
This role will work directly with the Director of Content to execute Nearpod’s content strategy, focusing on the supply side of our educational content products. You will be responsible for coordinating all parts of our digital content production, including managing partnerships with expert teachers and educational publishers. You will also interact closely with and manage teams of internal and external content producers and designers, which support partner teachers and publishers in the creation of their digital content.  
The ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity to spearhead the definition and execution of projects that are crucial to the growth and success of Nearpod’s content marketplace. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated person who is excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a proven track-record of managing multiple projects and coordinating diverse teams. The candidate must be extremely organized, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be a dynamic problem-solver.  
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Director of Content to define and execute digital content production projects  
  • Lead and manage the workflow of internal and external content producers  
  • Research, evaluate, and initiate new content partnerships
  • Provide high-level management of a large number of primary authors, development editors, technical editors, supplement authors, copy editors, and freelance project managers. Negotiate rates, prioritize work.
  • Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical/instructional optimization
  • Deliver projects on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress; create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to keep team & stakeholders updated
  • Build and grow relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with education or publishing organizations, project management, and/or operational experience at a fast paced, high growth organization
  • A passion for bringing technology into the classroom as well as a desire to learn about education technology and curriculum trends
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Interest in developing and refining the processes for content creation, review and publishing
  • Incredible precision, attention to detail, and organization skills

  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
