Position Overview:
Data is a central part of decision-making for all of our teams at Nearpod. Our data systems allow us to track performance, validate hypotheses, and make sure we are effectively serving educators and students. We are looking for a data analyst in our Miami office to define, execute and scale our data systems and processes. The ideal candidate is a self-starting, analytical, individual with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
 
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal Nearpod teams to identify data needs and reporting requirements
  • Work closely with data engineers to build scalable reports and dashboards in Tableau, Google Analytics and Salesforce.com
  • Analyze and synthesize data to drive decision making
  • Communicate data in an easy-to-read and actionable format to audiences of all levels
  • Empower internal Nearpod teams to access and use data consistently and effectively


Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 2-4 years experience in data analytics required
  • Proficiency with SQL and reporting/data visualization tools required
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required
  • Tableau and/or Mixed Panel experience preferred
  • Business Intelligence experience preferred
  • Experience with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS technologies from Microsoft is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in defining and expanding the processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required
